Humane Society of Elmore Co.

The mission of The Humane Society of Elmore County is to insure the best possible quality of life for animals, to prevent cruelty to animals, to stop pet overpopulation, to strive for the humane care, treatment, and well-being of all animals through education and information, and to promote public health and safety in regards to human and animal interaction.

We are a private, non-profit, open-admission Shelter supporting residents of all of Elmore County. In 2025 we received 3685 animals - primarily dogs & cats. Ib any given day our Shelter is caring for 250-350 pets depending on time of year. We receive animals as strays, via Animal Ctonrol and from owners.

Our staff works tirelessly caring for our pets 365 days/year and we work diligently to place our pets into loving & responsible new homes.
