About Our Speakers:
David Mixson: Currently serving as the Associate Director of Administration and Economic Development for the Government & Economic Development Institute at Auburn University, David Mixson brings over 25 years of experience in university economic development. He has assisted a wide range of communities, cities, associations, non-profits, and small businesses with innovative solutions. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Auburn University. He is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society and the Economic Development Association of Alabama.
LaKami Baker, Ph.D.: Dr. LaKami Baker is the Russell Foundation Associate Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. With a background in Organization and Management Studies, Dr. Baker is affiliated with the National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence. She has played vital roles in various entrepreneurship-related initiatives at Auburn University, and her expertise extends to strategy, business development, and coaching new ventures.
